Welcome to the Roger Williams Park Zoo Image Gallery.

This is a collection of images shot while wandering around Roger Williams Park one hot and steamy afternoon in mid-July, 2001.

Of particular interest are the shots of a young polar bear cub named Kobe. Kobe is just shy of 8 months old, and is growing fast.

I was testing out hiking gear (not to mention my endurance) for an upcoming trip to Scotland where I'll be moving around with my camera equipment for 7 or 8 hours a day.

Look for the Scotland gallery in early September.
